Escape to Oxford

Walking Through One Thousand Years of Oxford History

Established in 2021......

With many years of Experience guiding visitors around the ancient city of Oxford, Nick Woods realised visitors wanted more than the standard fare offered by many established tour companies.

With this in mind Escape to Oxford has created a series of bespoke walking tours lifting the veil on the hidden treasures that make up this fascinating city, its buildings, university and the people that have made Oxford unique in its own right and underlining its status as a world-renowned tourist destination. Tour groups are kept small allowing us to present a more relaxed personable experience while encouraging guests to pose questions, take photographs and engage with their surroundings

Escape to Oxford walking tours can be customised depending on individual requirements. We are able to adapt our tours from 45 minutes to two hours in length depending on what each person or tour group wants to see and how much time they have available. We also pre-book guests into any number of venues, colleges galleries, museums, restaurants and taverns. Let us know what you want and we will create a personalised itinerary for you, your family and friends!

Prices from £18.00. Maximum 10 persons.

Discounts available for larger groups. Private Tours £20.00 pp.

Reviews

Fabulous tour Walking around Oxford with Escape to Oxford,  felt like meandering around with a local friend. Our guide was warm, informative and extremely knowledgeable about Oxford, which he conveyed in an accessible way. His passion really shone, and I walked away with a greater appreciation of the literary giants and otherwise that came from these hallowed halls. Moreover, he was extremely accommodating as I had a heavy bag that we were able to store for a couple of hours for a small cost. He concluded the tour with dropping me off at my final destination (the Ashmolean Museum). Thank you for such a lovely foray and so grateful that the weather held up! Leena, New York, NY Sept. 2021

My sister and I went to Oxford for the day from London, and this was the perfect tour to introduce us to the city and university. Lots of fun facts and stories! Sheridan O. United Kingdom. Jan. 2022
